Lug Investigation

The lug as a node for connection was investigated using the same techniques as the earlier bike material studies. Through mirroring and rotating, a new type of lug with distinct inherent qualities emerged. This new typology was then tested for its ability to aggregate within a field condition, as well as its connective ability.

re.ison d’être

Red_iculous is an architectural proposal for a flood plain community on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia. after visiting sites in Cambodia, Vietnam, and China, it was abundantly clear that the bicycle played an integral role in modern asian society (not only a mode of transportation, but a material to be harnessed). This, alongside studies in plastic forming, site, water, mechanical connection, cycles, mobility, and deployability begin to converge upon a solution tailored to the people of the flood plain.
